Our Company

     We are SilkRoute Global (SRG), a provider of VMI and supply-chain solutions based in Troy, Michigan with offices in the United Kingdom and India. The SilkRoute team has been designing, building and operating robust, scalable vendor-managed inventory and supply chain solutions for more than a decade. Indeed, the SRG team has grown up supporting complex, sku-intensive supply chains on behalf of the world’s largest retailers. With a product suite that has been deployed across three continents and dozens of retailers and home entertainment content owners, SilkRoute delivers a level of maturity and capability that is unparalleled in the industry.

      SRG is uniquely positioned in the retail VMI and supply chain solutions space. We provide great agility in the development and deployment of our solutions but have a depth of experience that is difficult to find in even the largest solution providers. We understand the complexities of running a vendor-managed category and our solutions have the maturity and scalability to operate the supply chains of the world’s most demanding manufacturers and retailers. We have more than a decade of experience in designing, building and operating complex supply chain solutions. Subsequently, we are able to deliver tangible results in an accelerated fashion. Further, we understand retail and the vendor-managed business model better than most. Our core team has grown up running vendor-managed categories and working in the shadows of the world’s largest retailers. As a result, our capability to integrate seamlessly with content owners and retailers is second-to-none.

Leadership Team


Richard Corps – Managing Director, SilkRoute UK

      Richard Corps is the Managing Director of SilkRoute UK covering the EMEA region. Richard brings more than 20 years of entertainment, supply chain and media experience. Following a successful sales stint with Disney, Mr. Corps was tapped to lead one of two commercial divisions within BMG Music serving as the Senior Vice President, Commercial. He led the company to global success with many notable product releases including the ground-breaking hit single Elvis vs JXL.

      After leaving BMG, Mr. Corps held several board-level positions within Handleman UK, a global category manager of home entertainment products. During this time he gained an in-depth knowledge of the entertainment, book and cards supply chains. Mr. Corps’ tenure with Handleman culminated with his leadership of a yearlong sales process resulting in the reinvention of the home entertainment supply chain for Tesco, a global top three retailer.

      Prior to joining SilkRoute, Corps founded a mobile consulting practice and worked with companies including SanDisk, Tesco, and 1click2fame.com to develop strategy, digital and mobile integrated solutions. Mr. Corps currently advises start-ups and entrepreneurs within the digital and mobile arena on business planning and venture capital acquisition.


Amjad Hussain – President, SilkRoute Global

      Amjad Hussain is the President and a principal of SilkRoute Global, Inc. He has 20 years of experience leading global supply chain and software technology corporations. His present focus is on implementing SilkRoute’s "Any Source to Any Shelf" trading platform for the world's largest retailers and their suppliers using the Software as a Service (SaaS) model. SilkRoute Global (SRG) is a worldwide provider of VMI and supply chain solutions with offices in the United States, United Kingdom and India.

      In his previous leadership positions, Mr. Hussain worked as the CIO of Handleman Company and the Managing Director for the e-Business specialist Idea Integration. He serves on the board of a VC firm and incubator focused on emerging technologies. He coaches the CEOs of the portfolio companies. Mr. Hussain is active in the metropolitan Detroit community and is involved in several projects aimed at enhancing the local economy. He is a member of the board of trustees at RIM. His efforts to boost the local economy have been recognized by the governor of state of Michigan. 

     Mr. Hussain is an Honors Electrical Engineering graduate. He earned his Master’s degree from UMIST, in the United Kingdom with a focus on Cybernetics. He is a Kellogg Executive Scholar and is an executive member of the Global Coalition for Efficient Logistics. He has completed the Advanced Management Program at both Harvard and Stanford. Mr. Hussain was recently recognized in the Crain’s Detroit’s ‘40 under 40’ executive recognition award program for his pioneering work in the field of Supply Chain Intelligence.


Gerry Lopez – Chairman Advisory Board, SilkRoute Global

      Gerardo "Gerry" Lopez is the Chairman of SilkRoute Global and the Chief Executive Officer and President of AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc., Marquee Holdings Inc., and AMC Entertainment Inc. (AMC). He has served as Chairman for SilkRoute since June, 2008 and has been Chief Executive Officer and President of AMC since March 2009. Prior to joining AMC, Lopez served as executive vice president of Starbucks Coffee Company and president of its Global Consumer Products, Seattle's Best Coffee and Foodservice divisions. In these roles, Lopez led the strategy to support Starbucks' growth and expansion of consumer product offerings worldwide. Lopez has been active on several public and private company boards prior to his involvement in SilkRoute, including TXU Corporation and Safeco Insurance. Additionally, he has recently been appointed to the board of National CineMedia, Inc., (NASDAQ: NCMI) a cinema advertising company; Digital Cinema Implementation Partners, LLC., a partnership implementing digital cinema deployment in theatres; and Midland Empire Partners, LLC, organized to design, develop and own Kansas City venues the Midland by AMC and AMC Mainstreet in partnership with the Cordish Co. and Anschutz Entertainment Group. He was a member of the Cranbrook Institute of Science Board of Governors in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and has been recognized by Hispanic Business Magazine as one of the Top 100 Hispanic Business Leaders.

      Lopez was previously part of the entertainment industry during 2000-2004, when he served as president at Handleman Entertainment Resources, which provided category management and pre-recorded music distribution services to Wal-Mart, Best Buy and other major retailers in the US and abroad. In his more than 25-year career he also has served in a variety of executive management positions with International Home Foods, Frito-Lay, Pepsi-Cola and the Procter & Gamble Company.

      A native of Oriente, Cuba and a current resident of Kansas City, Missouri, Lopez earned his Bachelor of Science in business administration from George Washington University and his MBA from Harvard Business School. He and his wife, Elaine, have been married for 25 years and have two teenage sons. In their spare time, they enjoy golfing and sailing as a family; and on occasion his sons enjoy accompanying him to an action-packed movie.


Ron Lund – CEO, SilkRoute Global

      Ron Lund is the CEO and a principal of SilkRoute Global, Inc., a supply chain software solutions provider based in Troy, Michigan. His current efforts are centered around the deployment of SilkRoute’s sophisticated supply chain SaaS infrastructure in support of their “Any Source to Any Shelf” mission. Prior to founding SilkRoute, Mr. Lund spent more than a decade working in the retail home entertainment industry. During this period, he held positions including Senior Vice President of Supply Chain, Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Business Development & Corporate Strategy.

      Mr. Lund maintains a strong foundation in technology owing to a more than 10 year stint in solutions design and deployment. During his time in the home entertainment business, he pioneered a new approach to supply chain management which subsequently became the gold standard within the industry. He has led corporate acquisitions, launched successful operations abroad, and built the world’s most sophisticated non-case pack supply chains. In the early 2000s, Mr. Lund launched an innovative company providing a retail sales and distribution infrastructure directly to intellectual property owners including artists, musicians, independent film studios and game publishers. This model was, subsequently, propagated throughout the industry. He oversaw the company’s growth and subsequent sale. Mr. Lund is an advocate for entrepreneurship and serves on the board of the Michigan Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, a program operated by the University of Michigan and focused on equipping entrepreneurs. Mr. Lund resides with his family in southeastern Michigan and, when not working, enjoys being a husband and father.


Adam Moy – Chief Technology Officer, SilkRoute Global

      Adam Moy is the Chief Scientist and Technology Officer for SilkRoute Global, Inc, a world-wide provider of vendor-managed inventory and supply chain solutions. Mr. Moy leads the company in strategic technology direction while also engineering and implementing solutions, and overseeing all IT services. In practice, he is part scientist, part technologist, and part artist.

      Mr. Moy has decades of experience designing, building, and operating robust, scalable VMI and supply chain solutions. He has worked behind the scenes of the world’s largest retailers. During his career, Mr. Moy has successfully implemented massive ERP solutions, retired large-scale mainframes and built scores of innovative technologies. Moy has been called a technology savant and has worked with the likes of MIT-based technology think tanks on the topics of strategic innovation and research and development. Mr. Moy is a coveted speaker in large-scale computing circles and has been recognized on numerous occasions for his work in high-volume transaction processing.


Robert Skinner – President SilkRoute Global Services

      Robert Skinner has over 20 years experience in various technology businesses with a major focus in integrated supply chains and logistics.  As founder of Ideal Technology Solutions a Michigan based technology firm Mr. Skinner helped pioneer the world’s largest VPN network used by 1000’s of automotive OEM’s and suppliers to stream line secure communications and integrate just-in-time processes. Ideal was certified as only one of four companies’ internationally to deliver high performance, secure communications services over the Automotive Network Exchange (ANX).

      In addition Ideal was an early entrant in the Software as Services (SaaS) business model then referred to as Applications Service Providers (ASP).  Ideal provided managed hosted application services to the likes of ACDelco (General Motors Service Parts organization) and DOW Chemical and was ranked as one of the top 10 ASP’s in the United States. Since 2007 Mr. Skinner has worked on pioneering strategies to bring efficiencies and streamline communications across global logistics and multinational companies.
