SilkRoute Global is unique among its peers in many respects.  Perhaps most significant is the breadth and depth of our service offering.  We created SilkRoute on a foundation of more than fifteen years experience operating the world’s largest, most complex retail supply chains.  As a result, SilkRoute Global offers more supply chain experience and a deeper understanding of retail than any of our competitors.  This experience is now available to our customers and partners via our services division.


SilkRoute Customer Trading Services

SilkRoute Trading Services is an outgrowth of our experience running retail supply chains.  Over the last fifteen years, we have owned and operated vendor-managed contracts servicing more than $1 billion in retail home entertainment business annually. We speak the language of retail fluently and have deep experience in operating all aspects of a retail category management model.

Our Customer Trading Services offering is focused on the application of our SilkRoute SkyLight trading platform to the business of our customers.  We will provide any and all services desired by our customers from full operation of a retail category or vendor-managed inventory relationship to the provision of select services.  Some of the services we presently provide for clients include:

Services provision occurs in one of two ways depending upon the needs of the customer.  For customers seeking an efficient, low-cost solution, we provide centralized trade services from our North American Customer Service Center (NACSS) in Troy, Michigan.  Our centralized trade team services customers in North America and Europe and provides a comprehensive service offering allowing their customers to remain focused on delivering value.  In cases where a customer wants a more dedicated service offering, SilkRoute can provide an on-site trading team or, alternatively, will create a dedicated trading team within the NACSS, servicing only the needs of that customer.


SilkRoute Consulting Services

SilkRoute Consulting provides a variety of services to companies dealing with complex technology issues.  Our consultants have deep technical experience and have been engaged by the some of the largest companies in the world.  SilkRoute Consulting provides supply chain consulting services to manufacturers, category managers and retailers around the globe.  SilkRoute consultants specialize in supply chains supporting highly complex categories including home entertainment, books, electronics, and accessories.  Product categories with significant SKU complexity and dynamic product performance are at the heart of our practice competency.

Further, SilkRoute maintains an emerging competency in web development with a very active practice in digital commerce.  We are actively managing large-scale development projects on behalf of several retail clients and utilize agile development methods to deliver a rapid return on our customer’s investments.  Finally, SilkRoute Consulting is one of a few qualified players in North America with significant, real RFID design and implementation experience.  As a result, SRC consultants are in high-demand within the emerging RFID space and its developing adjacencies.
